Yesterday, I shared some of the inspiration behind my first pattern and guess what?!

Duchess and Hare’s debut clothing pattern is ready for purchase!  Follow this link and use coupon code DEBUT to get your pattern for $6.  Coupon good through Sunday.

All Duchess and Hare clothing patterns come with layered printing and a large format file for printing at a print shop as well as the standard home printer file.  You can choose to print all sizes on A0 paper or you can print them at home on your printer.  Save ink by choosing only the size you wish to print!  This also makes cutting out your size a breeze.

Each pdf pattern has been computer drafted and graded for precision curves and a perfect fit in all sizes.  Our patterns include a size chart, a finished measurement chart and a cutting chart so that you don’t have to print out the large rectangle pieces.

Each tutorial features full color photographs and a step by step guide to help you make a garment that you can be proud of.  If you get stuck along the way, we are happy to help you out in our Facebook Fan Page.

Duchess and Hare - Who's Got the Button Pattern

Who’s Got the Button is a sweet, vintage inspired dress with no front or back closures.  Instead, it buttons closed at both shoulders.  Included is a tutorial on how to make continuous bias tape (no more sewing those pesky strips together).

The pattern has options for two different skirts, a basic one piece skirt, or a two piece skirt with bias tape(or lace or a ruffle or ric rac…) inserted between them for an easy, no measuring way of getting your trim perfect every time.

Duchess and Hare - Who's Got the Button PatternYou can follow the instructions to add flat piping to the bodice for a fun contrast or you can omit the trim for a more basic dress.

No piping is perfect for bulkier fabrics like this velveteen dress.

Midweight fabrics like this quilting cotton from Dear Stella sew up beautifully with the piping option.

I sewed up 4 versions of this dress because my daughter loved it so much.  I LOVE it when I can get several different looks from a pattern.  This one looks just as cute in vintage prints as it does in modern prints.  It even works in dressier fabrics like velveteen or sateen!
